CHRISTMAS EVENT BRITISH ASSOCIATION DE MENTON, TUESDAY 23. DECEMBER, MONACO
Ho Ho Ho, Dear Members,
This year, I have found a different venue for our Christmas event.
The Principality will be hosting a Christmas Show, in the spectacular Fontvielle Big Top, titled “Monaco sou les Etoiles,” organised by Monaco Live Productions, under the Patronage of HSH Princess Charlene. Directed by Hassan El Hajjami, the show will blend dance, poetry and storytelling, in a fantasy world brought to life by international artists.
I have procured 25 tickets!!! The show begins at 4pm
I am arranging transport by coach to the event, departing Menton at 12:15pm returning to Menton,17:30pm
Lunch will be held at the Riviera Marriot Hotel,1pm, a short walk from the chapiteau.
A glass of Prosecco will set the mood, followed by wine, water and coffee
You will have a choice of starter and a main course of fish or meat, followed by dessert. Details forthcoming at the weekend.
I have organised a private coach. Lunch at the MARRIOT at 1pm. It is only a short walk from the MARRIOT to the Chapiteau. The coach will be waiting for us after the show at 5:30pm
The all-inclusive cost will be 105€ per person.

HOW TO GET TO LA TURBIE
Take the train from Menton, exit Monaco at top of station (up the escalator and lift.) CROSS THE ROAD. THE ZEST BUS NUMBER 11a, leaves at 10H12 taking ca 30 minutes to La Turbie Marie. The tour takes ca 1 hour. Please let Charlotte (Charlie) know, so that she can make arrangements.
You can also take the bus from Menton to Monaco, changing at Monaco tourist office. The bus to La Turbie leves at 10H14.
Parking is free, if you’re driving.
It is Market Day in La Turbie, which might be of interest to some.

Monday 11. NOVEMBER ARMISTICE DAY. Monument aux Morts, Place des Victoires 10:30 am
In Menton, we mark Remembrance Day with a lovely little ceremony, which new members might enjoy.
Horses, soldiers and nurses in First World War uniforms, Standard Bearers, including the British Legion, all present a great photo opportunity.
A poignant commemoration, in honour of those who have fallen for their countries in both wars.
Laying of a poppy wreath in commemoration.
This has become a popular event for members and we always make reservations for a casual lunch at the Tennis Club.
